Steamed Cornish Hen Stuffed with Wild Rice

1 box Uncle Ben wild rice blend pre-cooked

4 Cornish hens

8 sprigs fresh rosemary

4 orange slices

Kosher salt to taste

Black pepper to taste

1/4 tsp granulated onion

1/4 tsp granulated garlic

1/4 tsp chili powder

1/4 tsp paprika


1Remove hens from wrapping and rinse under water.

2Insert one sprig of rosemary between the skin and meat on the left and right of the breast.

3Insert one slice of orange in the cavity of the bird.

4Stuff the cavity with rice.

5Repeat this process with the other 3 hens.

6Mix remaining seasonings and sprinkle on outside.

7Preheat steamer unit to boil.

8Place hens on flat side of steamer plate and cover.

9Steam for 45 min. or internal temperature reaches 165 F.

Temperature: 350F
Water: Fill to line
