Bahamian Seafood Chowder

1 lb. white flaky fish

2 5-oz. can chopped clams

1 5-oz. can crab

1 8-oz. jar clam juice

½ medium onion diced

1 green bell pepper diced

2 tbsp. chopped garlic

1 15-oz. can diced tomato

1 15-oz. can fire roasted diced tomato

2 tbsp. your favorite Jerk blend

1 tbsp. ground thyme

Juice of ½ lemon

3 tbsp. chicken base

1 5-oz. can tomato paste

1 lb. diced potato

64 oz. water

3 bay leaves


1Preheat unit to 350 F.

2Add all the ingredients except for clams and cover.

3Bring to a boil and then reduce temperature to 200 F.

4Simmer for 1 hr 55 min.

5Add the clams at the last moment before serving.

This dish is supposed to be somewhat spicy. Add cayenne pepper or hot sauce to spice it up.
