Bacon Egg and Cheese Strata

Eggs combine with cheese, bacon, and bread to become a fluffy cheese strata that no one can resist!

1/2 lb. bacon diced

1 med. onion diced

10 eggs

1/2 c. half and half

4 c. cubed bread

8 oz. shredded cheddar

Salt and pepper


1Preheat the skillet to 350 F.

2Add bacon until browned.

3Add onion and sauté 3-4 minutes.

4Drain fat.

5Increase temperature to 400 F.

6Insert wire rack into the bottom of the skillet.

7Add the cubed bread to the 8x8 pan.

8Transfer bacon, onion and cheese to the 8x8 pan.

9In a large bowl, add the eggs and half and half and whisk together.

10Pour into 8x8 pan.

Typically, this dish needs to soak for two hours. It can even be done a day before and stored in the fridge.
